Eternal Focus Foundation
Privacy Policy
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information that helps us run our volunteer program and host gatherings. The categories include:
-
Contact details — your mobile phone number (our primary way to reach you), along with your name, email address, and mailing address (if you provide it).
-
Volunteer details — skills, interests, availability, and a record of your volunteer history with us.
-
Communications — messages, emails, sign‑up forms, and RSVPs you send us.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information helps us:
-
Use text messages as our primary way to communicate about volunteering opportunities, coordinate schedules, and send invitations to gatherings and RSVP reminders (email is also used as an alternative).
-
Recognize and thank volunteers for their contributions.
-
Improve and plan future events based on feedback.
-
Respond to your questions and requests.
-
Share updates about the foundation’s work and community impact via email or other channels.
3. Text Message (SMS) Communication
We use text messages as our primary way of communicating with volunteers who have provided their mobile number. These messages help us coordinate — for example, gathering reminders, schedule updates, RSVP confirmations, or urgent announcements.
-
Consent: We will only send you text messages if you choose to give us your mobile number and opt in. When you provide your number and opt in, that tells us you are okay receiving text messages from the foundation as our main way to reach you.
-
Carrier charges: Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply. The foundation is not responsible for any charges your carrier might add.
-
Opt‑out: You can stop receiving texts at any time. Just reply STOP (or a similar instruction you see in the message) to any text you receive, or contact us directly. Once you opt out, you will not receive any more text messages from us. Opting out will not affect your volunteer status or any other communications (like email).
-
Help: If you need help with text messages, reply HELP (or a similar instruction) and we’ll assist you.
-
Frequency: We keep text messages reasonable — we only send them when needed for volunteer coordination, never for promotional purposes.
4. Sharing and Disclosure
Eternal Focus Foundation does not sell your information and does not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
We never rent or sell our mailing lists, and we never send marketing from outside organizations to our volunteers.
The only times your information may be shared are:
-
Legal compliance — If required by law or to protect the safety of our community, we may disclose information as necessary.
-
With your consent — Any other sharing will happen only after we ask and you say yes.
5. Data Retention and Security
We keep your information only as long as it is needed for the volunteer program and any ongoing communications you have opted into.
We use reasonable security measures (such as encrypted storage and access controls) to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
If you would like your information deleted before it would otherwise be removed, just ask — we’ll take care of it.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
-
Access the information we hold about you.
-
Correct anything that is wrong or outdated.
-
Update your contact preferences or volunteer details.
-
Request deletion of your information (subject to legal obligations).
-
Unsubscribe from our communications at any time — just use the opt‑out link in any email or contact us directly.
